Today, Devoran Gig Club revived a regatta which was first held in 1856 (as featured here).
The course was a complex one emulating the original raced in 1856.
Along with four-oared gigs, many six-oared pilot gigs built by Ralph Bird and Cornish skiffs travelled for miles to make the Victorian-themed event a roaring success.
CFOGA would like to thank Devoran Gig Club for their amazing efforts in holding this event, and hope that it may continue for years to come.
